Love Your Freelancing launches

Today is a big day over here at This Cherished Life! I’m opening up registration for my new online workshop to help entrepreneurs live into their goals.

It’s called Love Your Freelancing.

I’m giving a back stage pass to my business operations – an inside look at running your freelancing with happiness and success.

This workshop is the culmination of business-building know-how from first hand real-world experience that I wish I’d known when I was just starting out.

The workshop will help freelancers grow their business skills, enjoy their freelancing, and build their business. It will include training on:

  • Finding ideal clients
  • Networking
  • Confidence-building
  • Payments, contracts & negotiations
  • Client management
  • Time & project management
  • Flexibility & Boundaries

How will the Love your Freelancing workshop help with work+life balance?

Creating a successful business is not all about how much money you can make.

It’s about what it allows you to do with your time and energy. It’s about feeling confident and capable knowing you are providing something of true value for others. It’s about enjoying the creative tasks and challenges at hand. It’s about being efficient and effective with the time you put into your work, so you can better reap the rewards of that energy in other aspects of your life.

It’s about creating success, freedom and flexibility to live your life on your terms – whether that means being able to travel, spend quality time with your family, or being able to enjoy what makes you happy each day.

Creative Talent: meet Business-Building Mastery

Over my years as a web designer, I’ve met many creative freelancers who were extremely talented, but still struggled to make ends meet. I’ve also met many freelancers just starting out, who I knew would be able to grow much more confidently and quicker with guidance on their marketing, pricing and client interactions.

I’ve had good friends who have loved the flexibility and freedom of freelancing, but still returned to the corporate world when they struggled to make ends meet.

Most freelancers struggle with many of the same things – managing money, managing time, difficult client interactions, pricing negotiations, etc.

I’ve struggled with a lot of this too… but I’m also dedicated to developing systems for success whenever I see issues coming up, and have refined these over many years as a freelancer. Years ago, I started as a freelance web designer charging just $25/hour. It wasn’t long before I decided to freelance full-time, and built a referral-based, successful six-figure business.

What’s more, I got into freelancing for the freedom and flexibility, and I’ve learned to balance my freelancing to fuel not just my creative passions, but also to enjoy life outside of work.

I’ve created balance between my freelancing and family time to enjoy quality time with my kids, volunteering, and pursuing passions such as reading, painting, and yoga. My financial success and flexibility has allowed for travel as well, and for the last two years, I’ve taken my family of 5 to Costa Rica for a month and worked remotely.

What I’ve realized is that it all comes down to one thing – loving your freelancing.

This workshop will provide educational modules but also a community of other freelancers that you’ll work alongside as an extra level of support. Accountability and inspiration are all part of the fun!
