HOW TO STAND OUT IN THE MARKETPLACE
As you’ve considered your business focus, you may have felt at some point that there are many others doing something similar to what you are doing. Depending on your state of mind, this could have even discouraged or
worried you. But it shouldn’t. You are likely not the first one to attempt to solve the problem you want to solve, or address the issues or topic you care about. But, seeing what other people do that is similar to you can be both inspiring, and help you see how your view on the topic is slightly different and therefore, unique. It is also proof of concept if there are others addressing and making money solving a problem similar to the one you are addressing.
So how do you stand out or differentiate yourself? One of the ways is to narrowly define your niche. You are much more likely to connect with the people you want to help, if you can narrowly define your marketing and style around who your audience is and their unqiue circumstances that you understand.

• What is it that excites you about that person’s mission?
• How do they turn ideas into products or services that people are excited to pay for?
HOW IS YOUR EXPERTISE, POINT OF VIEW, AND/OR TARGET AUDIENCE DIFFERENT THAN EACH OF YOUR EXAMPLES?
Having a story helps your audience have an emotional connection with you, and gives them a reason to share what you do with others in a way that they are less likely to do without that connection.
WHAT IS THE UNIQUE STORY IN YOUR LIFE THAT CONNECTS YOU WITH THIS TOPIC?
HOW CAN YOU TEACH AND ESTABLISH YOUR EXPERTISE IN THIS AREA?
